Iowa Secretary of State Paul Pate announced the launch of a new webpage to help inform voters about the upcoming changes to Iowa's election laws. The page is easily accessible from the main page of the Secretary of State's website, sos.iowa.gov, or can be found by going to sos.iowa.gov/voterID. The page provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding the new laws and outlines when they will be implemented. Some minor changes to Iowa's election laws take place on July 1.

Morris and Betty (Oliphant) Neighbor of Marion will celebrate their 76th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. They were married in Kahoka, MO. They have been blessed with three sons; Kent and Kay of Winthrop, Douglas and Marva of Marion, and Gene and Jeanie of Alburnett; 12 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Today, Hy-Vee, Inc. announced that with the help of its customers, it has rescued more than one million pounds of fruits and vegetables from landfills - just four months after it began offering the Misfits produce program. To further combat the nation's food waste issue, Hy-Vee began offering so-called "ugly" produce in nearly all of its grocery stores in January.
