Tower Terrace expected to open
by DJ Kauffman Correspondent · April 20th, 2017

The Marion Chamber of Commerce is planning a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, April 21, at 10:30 a.m., for the completion of the Tower Terrace Road extension from 10th Street to Winslow Road.

The Engineering Department Work Program Phase V began two years ago, and includes a grass median, lights, trees, and a traffic signal. According to the Marion Engineering Dept., some fencing on the south edge is still needed before the road can be opened. The department's goal is to have the fence in place by Friday for the event depending on the weather.

Phase V is part of a larger Tower Terrace Rd. project that started 10 years ago. It will eventually run east to west, connecting Hwy. 13 to Interstate 380. Connecting C Ave. with Marion will take some time and is part of the overall project.
