George Morrison of Marion takes his acting seriously, plus he also gets involved in his goal of getting people interested in what is going on at Starlighters Theatre on Anamosa's Main Street.

His object is getting the large amount of people that work in his place of employment to get into the joy of watching good plays. He sets up a display of table tents and posters. In fact, he uses anything which will draw people's attention.

"I dream of the time that the fellow workers will attend." I'll bet there's a deck of cards really handy to catch the eye to get them in the mood. Right now, he's busy getting the word out about "The Odd Couple," Neil Simon's story of Felix and Oscar, along with their card-playing buddies.

Gerald Morrison portrays Speed. As the name suggests, he is always in a hurry, impatient, and complaining as his caustic remarks make for a different card game. Watch for those lines.

Gerald Morrison has been in other presentations at Starlighters. "I like meeting new people.

I enjoy the humor which is part of the message of the story being told."

"The Odd Couple" with all its twists and turns, will be presented on Friday, April 21, and Saturday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. with a matinee on Sunday, April 23, at 2 p.m. With people so busy in their own little world, the same schedule is followed the next weekend.

Keep Starlighters' phone busy at 319-462-4793 to reserve your ticket so as not to miss the laffs!
