by Report submitted · April 20th, 2017

Creative Artists, a local art and education organization, is holding its Annual Art Show and Sale on Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30, at the former Kirkwood Training and Outreach Services building, 3375 Armar Drive, Marion. Hours for both days are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Members of Creative Artists will be showing and selling original art, art prints, greeting cards, and other art-related items. The artists work in all mediums: oil, acrylics, watercolor, pastels, pen and ink, photography, and colored pencils.

In addition, artisans who work in fused glass, beaded jewelry, pottery, and twig art will be showing their work.

During both days, artists will give demonstrations of oil, portraits, use of a light box, watercolor, and colored pencils. A table of art books, palettes, papers, frames, paints, brushes, and other start-up materials will be available for purchase at garage sale prices.

Creative Artists was started in 1974 and has met continuously for 43 years on the second Monday of each month. Interested artists are welcome at a Creative Artist meeting. The next meeting is Monday, May 8, at 6:30 p.m. at the Marion Heritage Center, 590 10th Street, Marion.
