Marion senior Morgan Swanger signed her national letter of intent to continue on her career as a student-athlete last week. The volleyball star will continue her playing in the fall at Trevecca Nazarene University, an NCAA Division II institution that is located in Nashville, Tennessee.

Swanger, a powerful hitter, slammed home 254 kills during her senior season at Marion. Swanger also recorded 35 total blocks as she gave troubles to opposing teams around the net. She helped lead the Indians to a 34-10 record her senior season and multiple trips to the Class 4A Iowa High School Girls' State Volleyball Tournament at the US Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids.

Trevecca Nazarene finished with a 16-13 record in 2016. Swanger will join Oklahoma native Destinee Wilson and Bristow, Indiana's Jordan Sprinkle as signees for the Trojans.
