Pinewood Derby race to support Hawkeye Area Council Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America, Hawkeye Area Council is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Adult Pinewood Derby Event that is open to the public and will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2017.

The Derby event will be located at the Iowa Brewing Company in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Doors are to open at 11:30 a.m. and the race begins at 12:30 p.m. Admission for this event is $50 which includes two free drink tickets and one free Pinewood Derby Car. During this event, no rules apply and cheating is suggested. You may use any Pinewood Derby Car that you have made in the past or you can build a new Pinewood Derby Car. To pick up your free Pinewood Derby Car, visit the Hawkeye Area Council Scout Service Center located at 660 32nd Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404.

All proceeds from this event will help support the Boy Scouts of the Hawkeye Area Council which serves over 5,665 youth in Benton, Linn, Jones, Iowa, Johnson, Cedar, and Washington counties in Iowa. The Council, supported by 2,018 volunteers, is headquartered in Cedar Rapids, IA.
