The Marion boys' golf team had another solid outing last Wednesday at Monticello. The Indians were one of seven teams competing at the Monticello Country Club for the 18-hole, par 72 meet.

The Indians were led by Mark Horcher, who placed fifth with a 10-over par 85. Trey Clifton was right behind Horcher as he finished sixth with a score of 86. Jacob Lang fired an 87 while Mark Watters rounded out the scoring with a 92.

The Indians finished with a team score of 350 strokes, but it wasn't enough to win the meet title. Dyersville Beckman squeaked by North Cedar as they finished with a score of 348, one stroke better than North Cedar's 349.

Beckman's Riley LeGrand fired a three-over par 75 to win the meet medalist honors while Monticello's Aaron Gearhart was the runner-up medalist with a score of 83.
