The Marion boys' soccer team's run at an undefeated season ended last week at the hands of a pumped-up Benton Community squad. The Bobcats handled the Indians by a 3-0 margin, snapping Marion's seven game winning streak that the team had started their season with. However, Marion thwarted any chances of a losing streak later on in the week as they edged Williamsburg by a 1-0 final score.

The game against the Raiders went the distance to penalty kicks, but Marion would not be denied. John Owen was tough between the pipes throughout, recording seven saves to help lift the Indians to victory.

Marion is scheduled to be back in action this week against Mount Pleasant and West Delaware.
