After suffering a 2-1 loss to City High back on May 5, the Linn-Mar girls' soccer team has righted the ship with a three-game winning streak last week. The Lions won by a 10-0 margin over Waterloo East at home and also took to the road to dispose of Iowa City West and Waterloo West as well, which improves their

record to 9-3 overall.

In the 10-0 win over East, Hannah Garcia led the charge with a hat trick and an assist while Jaclyn Simons and Abigail Santana both scored two goals apiece. Sam White, Karlye Waterman, and Piper Carey all found the back of the net once in the triumph as well. Allie Strottman was the winning goalkeeper.

Santana and Carey both scored in the 2-1 win over Iowa City West. Senior Rachel Crawford recorded an assist while Strottman had a great performance at goalkeeper, stopping 10 shots on goal that the Women of Troy fired her way.

Carey scored two of the Lions' five goals in the 5-0 win over Waterloo West. Santana, Crawford and Elizabeth Sourwine all found the back of the net in the win as well. The Lions defense did not allow one shot on goal as Strottman picked up her third win of the week.

The Lions will do battle with Cedar Falls, West Des Moines Valley, and Johnston this week.
