Two competitions for the family to enjoy

The Linn County Fair Association, River Valley Co-op and Z102.9 presents "Mutton Bustin'"!
Get ready for family entertainment and kid's sheep riding action as Mutton Bustin' comes to the Linn County Fair in Central City, IA on Wednesday, June 28, at 7:30 p.m. This is a free grandstand event.

New to the Linn County Fair will be the first annual Bags Tournament on Saturday, July 1. This event starts at noon with registration from 11 to 11:45 a.m. The location for this event is on the track behind the beer tent.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. Rules include:

1. 1st team to 21 wins. Win by two (no going backwards if you go over) No bounces

2. 27 ft. spacing between boards

3. Three points in the hole, one point on the board; cancelling points

4. A coin flip will decide who throws first to start the game.

5. Team who scored last points throws first after start

6. Team who won previous game starts next game

7. Must throw bag behind front of board

8. 32 Team Double Elimination
