Meet the new Linn County Education Outreach Coordinator
by Report submitted · June 29th, 2017

Morgan Ball graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture and Life Science Education/Communications in May 2017 and has recently started working with the Linn County Farm Bureau as the Education Outreach Coordinator.

"Growing up around cattle, I knew I wanted to study agriculture but it was my time in college that led me to my passion for communicating," said Morgan

Through her time at Iowa State University, Morgan held internships with Iowa Farm Bureau Federation Young Farmer Program, Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Women in Ag Program, 4-H STEM Camps, and the Iowa State Daily. Morgan has now moved back to Johnson County and is excited to kick off the summer by beginning her position with Linn County, continuing to advocate through her personal blog, and spending time with friends and family.

Linn County Education Outreach seeks to improve awareness, knowledge and appreciation among PreK-12 students.

Our educational programs are designed to meet local needs through agricultural-based content to teach core curriculum concepts in science, social studies, language arts and nutrition. Agriculture can be integrated into existing lessons through guest speakers, field trips, agriculture days, farmer pen pals, and/or curriculum units.
