Paige to play on OKC summer league squad
by Brandon Leonard Correspondent · July 6th, 2017

Former Linn-Mar Lion and North Carolina Tar Heel star Marcus Paige started off his professional career playing for the Salt Lake City Stars, the G-League affiliate of the NBA's Utah Jazz. While not seeing any time at the NBA level this season, the point guard will be trying to make the leap to the next level and will attempt to turn heads in the NBA's annual Summer League. Except Paige won't be playing for the Jazz this summer: the 23-year-old guard will be playing in the Summer League with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Paige is one of 15 players to make the Thunder's summer roster with hopes of landing on an NBA team this season. In their first Summer League contest, the Thunder edged the Pistons in dramatic fashion following the late-game heroics of former UConn Huskie Daniel Hamilton.

Paige and the Thunder start a three-game stretch of games on Monday against the New York Knicks and will follow up their game with the Knicks against Charlotte and Dallas.
