She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul in 1982; two siblings that died at birth; and two brothers, Bernard in 1985 and Donald in 2007.

Faye was born September 6, 1913, in Blairstown, Iowa, the daughter of Charles and Libbie (Miller) Chalupsky. She graduated from Blairstown High School. On November 29, 1934 in Nashua, Iowa, Faye was united in marriage to Paul Armstrong. Faye worked at Linn County Rural Electric for 25 years, retiring in 1978. She also volunteered at St. Luke's Hospital for several years and had received an 800 volunteer hour pin.

Faye was an excellent cook. Her happiest times were when she could cook supper for you, babysit or just visit with you. She always had a pie or tapioca ready on Sundays for whoever came to visit. Faye worked very hard from childhood on the farm to being a farmer's wife and working at R.E.C. She loved to fish, bus trips with her friend, Marcella, and car rides with Gene, Gary, Sandy and Sharon. Faye was very proud of her boys' accomplishments. She cherished her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; they were hers, and so special to her.

Faye's life will live on through all of the family. She was so loved and cherished by all who knew her. One of Faye's favorite sayings was, "Just Keep Moving!"
