Residents of Marion and surrounding communities should prepare themselves for a new flavor in town. Executive Chef Brittany Hannah has announced the opening of a new location: Bistro 3 Nineteen, located at the previous Marion Maid-Rite restaurant at 1000 7th Avenue, Marion. The bistro plans to open here at the end of September.

Having graduated from Linn Mar High School and a current resident of Marion, Chef Brittany Hannah is excited to announce the opening of her second location. Bistro 3 Nineteen's goal is to provide an exceptional experience across the board, not only with excellent food and beverages, but also with customer service and a clean, comfortable atmosphere. To facilitate this mission, Chef Hannah has brought together exceptional ingredients for an all-from-scratch menu. Bistro 3 Nineteen will also offer craft beers from many local breweries, fabulous wines and a great location in a historic building downtown within walking distance of many of the city's major businesses and events.

Chef Hannah stated that when she learned the location on 7th Avenue was available, she knew instantly that location was the place she wanted to be given, the excitement in Uptown Marion. "Marion has been growing for some time, expanding the need for local restaurants and shops. As a Marion resident, I am excited about this growth and to move my business to such a great community," said Chef Hannah.

Bistro 3 Nineteen will be open Mondays through Thursdays at 7:30 a.m. and will provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with after-work drinks and appetizers each day. Saturday brunch will be served from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 to 9 p.m. The restaurant will be closed on Fridays and Sundays.

Bistro 3 Nineteen will also have event space available along with catering service. Chef Hannah stated the location will be ADA accessible by spring. "We had hoped to be at opening, but there have been a few hiccups with having enough electricity to power the building and a chair lift."

Executive Chef Hannah graduated from the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in New York with her Bachelors in Baking and Pastry Arts Management. In addition, she has completed her MBA degree from the University of Iowa. Chef Hannah brings more than 13 years of industry experience from New York to California. For the past three years, she has owned and operated Bistro on the River in downtown Cedar Rapids before relocating the business to Marion.
