The WNBA Playoffs are slated to begin on Wednesday, September 6, as Linn-Mar alum Kiah Stokes and her New York Liberty will wait and see who they will do battle with in the second round of the tournament. After a strong late season push, the Liberty earned the number three seed and will play their first postseason game on Sunday, September 10, against an opponent that is yet to be determined.

The Liberty owns a winning streak of 10 consecutive games and a record of 22-12 overall. New York is led by veteran Tina Charles, who averages just under 20 points per game. Stokes, a defensive and rebounding enforcer, averages a little under five points per game to go along with six rebounds and one block per game.
