Advertisement Yearling medals, Lions earn narrow win

The Linn-Mar golf team continued their winning ways last Thursday at Hunters Ridge Golf Course in Marion. The Lions registered a team score of 159, just one stroke better than runner-up Cedar Rapids Prairie and two strokes better than third-place finishing Cedar Rapids Xavier. Cedar Rapids Jefferson also competed and finished with a team score 187.

Cole Yearling was dialed in yet again, winning medalist honors with a round of 36. Carter Frederickson tallied a 40, Ben Greif posted a 41, and Zach Armstrong rounded things out with a 42.

Linn-Mar will be in action again this Thursday, September 7, at Pleasant Valley Golf Course in Iowa City as they will do battle against City High and Cedar Falls starting at 3:15 p.m.
