Blair Brooks commits to Iowa
by Brandon Leonard Coorespondent · October 19th, 2017

Rob Brooks has seen a lot of talented players take the field; both the Iowa Hawkeyes football team and the plethora of opponents over the years. Once the 2018 season rolls around, none of them will catch his eye more than Iowa's latest commitment: his son, Blair. The standout Marion student-athlete announced he will continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Iowa on both the gridiron and track and field.

Blair is the all-time record holder in receptions and receiving yards at Marion and he keeps adding to his totals week by week. The senior is a big reason for the Indians' success, consistently making plays despite teams planning around taking him out of the equation for a powerful Marion offense.

Blair also wowed crowds at the 2017 Iowa State Track and Field Meet, sweeping the jumping events and excelling in the 110-meter high hurdles. The senior also helped the Marion baseball squad reach the 2017 Iowa State Baseball Tournament.

Blair will join the Hawks as a preferred walk-on. He also holds scholarship offers from Western Illinois and South Dakota.
