Famous bread to be served at the Heritage Center
by Nancy Grindle Correspondent · October 26th, 2017

Many of you know that the Marion Heritage Center and Museum will hold its annual Soup Supper Fundraiser on Sunday, October 29, at the Heritage Center from 5 to 7 p.m.

But what you may not have heard is that Swati Dandekar is going to bake her famous bread to serve along with the wide variety of soup which will be available that evening.

Mrs. Dandekar is known throughout the community for her bread and told us in an interview that she will make both her white bread recipe and her wheat bread.

The Heritage Center doors will open at 4:30 p.m. for the soup supper. Tickets are $6.50 per person in advance or $8.00 at the door on Sunday. Children under age six are free.

Tickets are available at the Heritage Center and from the Historical Society's Board members.

The meal includes a hearty bowl of soup, a drink and a dessert. Five different kinds of soup will be served. This year, by popular demand, the supper will have gluten-free soups, chicken noodle and chili and pumpkin bread.

While enjoying supper, see the current exhibition Good Roads: Bicycles, Motorcycles & Automobiles on the Transcontinental Routes. Enjoy, it's free!

Last serving is at 6:45 p.m. and children are welcome to wear costumes.
