Mary Louise Grimm, 79, of Marion, passed away on November 1, 2017, at the Emery Place Assisted Living & Memory Care in Robins, Iowa. Her husband, Keith Grimm, preceded her in death in 2011. A Celebration of Keith and Mary's Life was held on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private family graveside services were held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.

Surviving are her children, Michael Grimm and wife Brenda of Cedar Rapids, Brian Grimm and wife Mi Sun of Marion, and Julia Hawley and husband Bradley of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Brandon, Bryce, Broghan (Meagan), Brayden and Brett; her siblings, Robert Tischer, LaWanna Ottaway; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse Keith Grimm; and siblings, Carol Robertson, Bill Tischer, JoAnne Kelly and infant sister Rosemary.

Mary Louise Grimm was born October 17, 1938, in La Crosse, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Nelson) Tischer. Mary attended and graduated from Marion High School. She was united in marriage to Keith Grimm on February 4, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. Mary retired from the Linn-Mar School District where she worked as an Administrative Assistant for the Superintendent for 30 years. Mary was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She loved to read, shop and travel, especially her trip to Europe. Mary's greatest enjoyment was time spent with family, especially her five beloved grandsons. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, caring sister and beloved grandmother who will be greatly missed.
