The top-ranked team in Class 4A flexed their muscles yet again last Friday night in Marion as the Marion Indians came out firing on all cylinders against the Williamsburg Raiders. Marion picked up the victory in dominant fashion, winning with a final score of 85-19.

Senior Chloe Rice led the way with 13 points, six rebounds, four assists and a pair of steals, while Leah Van Weelden and Riley Wright came off the bench to score 12 points apiece. Kayba Laube had 11 points and four steals while Ella Van Weelden led the team in rebounds, assists and blocks with seven, six and three, respectively. All 12 Marion players that entered the game scored a basket in the win.

The win pushes Marion's record to a perfect 5-0 on the season. The Indians were back in action this week against Benton Community on Tuesday at home (results unknown at press time) and then will have a big road matchup against Center Point-Urbana on Friday, December 15. The Stormin' Pointers are ranked third in Class 4A and hold a record of 7-0 on the season.
