Steffeck, Clippers fall in return to Iowa
by Brandon Leonard Correspondent · January 4th, 2018

Former Marion resident Keith Steffeck made a long-awaited return to playing in the state of Iowa on Saturday, December 23, 2017, as his Agua Caliente Clippers took on the Iowa Wolves at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Steffeck, a graduate of the Marion Class of 2008, comes off the bench for the Los Angeles Clippers' G-League affiliate.

Steffeck, who was named an NAIA First Team All-American at William Penn University in Oskaloosa, saw 10 minutes of action and grabbed a rebound in his return home. The Clippers suffered a 107-102 loss to a talented Wolves team. Guard Tyrone Wallace finished with a team-high 28 points for the Clippers in the losing effort.

Agua Caliente currently holds a record of 13-10 overall and are two games back from the Pacific Division leading South Bay Lakers. They're currently fifth in the Western Conference standings. The Clippers will be in action again on Friday, January 5, on the road against Salt Lake City. The game will be streamed online via Facebook Live.
