Dream Factory completes part of Sasha's dream
by Nancy Grindle Correspondent · January 4th, 2018

Sasha came home from school one day a couple of weeks ago and was delighted to find that cement had been poured for a base for a ramp so she will be able to enter and exit her house in her power wheelchair.

Then, last week on Friday, the ramp became a reality. Despite the cold weather, the volunteer crew arrived early in the morning, shortly after the supplies were delivered. They had the ramp completed by mid-morning.

Natasha Murdock of the Dream Factory of Iowa was as elated as Sasha. She was all smiles and took the guys to lunch after they finished the ramp.

Now on to the other two parts of Sasha's dream: widening doorways so Sasha can use her wheelchair between rooms, and an electronic locking device she can access easily so she can enter and exit her home without help from anyone else.

Sasha had been home-schooled in earlier years, but now attends regular school, so she rides the school bus from home.

Her mom was particularly grateful: "It's really like a dream come true. This will make such a difference, particularly in the wintertime."
